ERock CEO John Carrington joined Blockspace co-founder Will Foxley on the Blockspace Podcast to discuss how ERock is addressing AI data centers’ growing power needs. Carrington explains how the company’s modular natural gas generation design supports rapid installation and responds to sharp changes in computing loads while keeping emissions and noise low and using no water for generation. The conversation also explores the manufacturing capacity, utility collaboration, and operating expertise required to deliver dependable power on customer timelines.

Carrington highlights ERock’s 366 MW project with El Paso Electric for Meta as an example of that approach. The project will provide bridge power to support data center operations while the utility develops the infrastructure needed for grid service. After interconnection, the same assets can provide backup power and dispatchable capacity, extending their value while supporting customer operations and long-term utility plans.
